The Deakin Network Against Gendered Violence (DNAGV) at Deakin University is a leading interdisciplinary group of researchers and practitioners with expertise in gendered violence, including violence against women and children, intimate partner violence, sexual violence, family violence, same-sex violence, the role of intersectionality, the and legal and non-legal regulation of this violence.  Our mission is to end violence against women and children through research, collaboration, practical mental health and legal support, and representation at community, local government, state and national committees. We are funded by the University and through national, state and sector organisations to conduct research using quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods and other innovative methods with a focus on participatory action research leading to real-world outcomes. We also provide training in multiple areas to the family violence sector.
