Doctors Against Violence Towards Women (DAVTW) is a charity comprised of a group of passionate doctors across Australia and New Zealand, established by Dr Karen Williams and Dr Anita Hutchison, advocating against gendered violence, and highlighting and closing gaps through advocating for change in our health, legal and social systems that leave these victims vulnerable.

We aim to help patients, mainly women, in desperate circumstances through cash grants, and payment of necessary services that reduce suffering and improve physical and psychological outcomes.

We also advocate for appropriate healthcare resourcing, legal and political reform, based on evidence and consultation with experts.

Finally, we provide a networking platform and forum for doctors to assist each other, in effectively helping patients in danger.
